Aerial Pet Recovery

What makes us different

When your pet goes missing, the urgency to find them can lead to well-intentioned but potentially risky decisions, like enlisting a neighbor’s drone for assistance. Here’s why relying on amateurs may not be the best solution:

Experience Matters
Operating a drone effectively demands skill and practice. Hobbyists may struggle, risking accidents or frightening the pet further. Our FAA certified pilots attend a training program which ensures that they have a suitable level of practical experience flying pet search missions. Our mission guidelines and operational procedures help to ensure that each mission is conducted in a safe and efficient manner.

Equipment
Not all drones are suited for pet searches. We deploy cutting-edge, enterprise-level drones equipped with advanced thermal imaging technology, capable of operating in adverse weather conditions and can also operate at night. They are also equipped to support 2-person crew operations. This configuration enables one person, using a dedicated First Person View (FPV) camera, to focus on flying the drone safely while the second person uses the independent gimbal-mounted thermal and wide angle cameras and onboard laser rangefinder to scan the area for the lost pet.

Wildlife Protection
We take steps to ensure that we minimize potential impact to wildlife within the search area. For example, flying too close to nesting areas could cause stress or injury to birds.

Regulatory Compliance
Our pilots hold valid FAA Remote Pilot Certificates, otherwise known as Part 107 certificates, adhering to FAA regulations. Volunteers operating without proper certification may violate federal aviation laws, potentially leading to legal repercussions.

Legal Adherence
We ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including airspace rules and obtaining necessary approvals for operating near sensitive areas, like airports.

In pet recovery missions, professionalism and adherence to regulations are paramount. Entrusting the task to our trained experts ensures a safer, more effective search, maximizing the chances of reuniting pets with their owners.
