Volunteer Information
There are many ways you can participate. Here are just a few:
- Drone pilots and Visual Observers are responsible for flying our state-of-the-art aircraft. To be in charge of a flight crew you must hold a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. If you don’t have one, we can help prepare you to take the test!
- Initial Response Coordinators receive search requests from the public and other rescue organizations. They evaluate the request to determine if Aerial Pet Recovery can assist.
- Ground coordinators are onsite at the search location and are responsible for ensuring that our drone team and other, traditional search teams are working together seamlessly and sharing real-time information as it becomes available.
- Fundraising specialists raise money needed to purchase and maintain equipment as well as other operational expenses.
- Social media specialists are responsible for creating content and managing our Facebook, Instagram, X and other social media accounts to keep the public informed about our activities and needs.
